This dress is just divine. The photos cannot do the luxuriousness and richness of the fabric justice. It is cut in a simple and easy shift with long wide cut sleeves. It is made from an almost weightless silk chiffon in black and onto the silk is are little squares of a black silk velvet set haphazardly over the silk. The spaces in between the velvet are semi transparent and give the dress an added layer of texture that it would not have if it was lined. It also means that you can make the dress incredibly sexual or incredibly demure depending on what you chose to layer it over. I love how the sleeves and hem are anchored with a wide banding of the silk velvet. In person you will love how fluid and rich feeling the fabric is and how it us glides over the body when worn. The additional "Made in France" label gives us a date of the late 1960s to the 1970s. I had someone reach out to me that they had a similar dress that dated to the 1969 collection but I have not yet found a visual reference. Excellent condition. Unlined and the silk parts are semi transparent. Closes with a back zipper.
