About Semi Private Lessons at The Sewing Club Led by talented sewist and awesome person Stephanie Mould, our semi private lessons are designed to provide a space for people with varying skill levels to get project help that is more affordable than a private lesson, and less frustrating than trying to describe the issue and hoping it pops up on Youtube. This is your chance to make whichever project you'd like in our workshop space that includes computerized sewing machines, sergers, irons, and various tools for marking, measuring, and more. Participants should bring a project that they'd like to get help starting, need some encouragement with, or a project with a particularly tricky bit that they would like help perfecting. These sessions will focus on construction techniques rather than pattern drafting and advanced pattern alterations (more on that soon!) In a small group of up to 4 participants, you can get support on: Sewing fundamentals and terminology Pattern drafting and adjustments How to read a pattern & interpret instructions Tips for cutting and marking your fabric Sewing machine basics Serger basics More advanced techniques like zippers and buttons More advanced finishing and seam techniques And more!
